Our Position on Copyright
Hevan respects copyright and expects the same from others. If you believe something on the site uses your work without permission, you can ask us to remove it.
How to Send a Takedown Notice
Email your notice to legal@hevan.net. To be valid under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), it must include:
- A description of the copyrighted work you say was copied.
- The URL of the page on Hevan where the material appears.
- Your contact details, so we can reach you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What We Do Next
When the Hevan Editorial Team receives a valid notice, we review it. If it holds up, we remove or disable access to the material and let the person who may be affected know where we can.
Incomplete notices may not be acted on, so we may ask you for missing details.
Counter-Notices
If you believe material was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Include the page address, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, and your signature.
We may forward a counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice.
Repeat Infringers
We may end access or remove content from anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright.
